Vivo has officially showcased the Vivo X20 UD at Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2018. This is the world’s first smartphone to feature under-display fingerprint scanner. Vivo has officially confirmed that the Vivo X20 Plus in-screen fingerprint variant will be unveiled on January 24 at an event in Beijing, 7:30PM local time. But the poster does not provide the details about the specifications and cost of the device.
Vivo X20 Plus in-screen fingerprint version will be featuring Clear ID 9500 optical under-display fingerprint sensor by Synaptics. The sensor will be placed between the glass panel and the OLED screen. The device can be unlocked in about 0.6 or 0.7 seconds and the scanner can also be used for authenticating payments. The specification of the phone is expected to be same as Vivo X20 Plus.
