Xiaomi Redmi 5A goes official

Redmi Note 5A was announced recently, now its time for the next device.

Today Xiaomi announced redmi 5A at the same price tag of Redmi 4A announced last year(CNY 600 – $91/€77). Redmi 5A comes with small upgrade over its previous version.

Specifications:
  • It comes with 5” screen, 720p resolution.
  • Redmi 5A is powered by Snapdragon 425 chipset.
  • It comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage and further expanded via microsd card upto 128GB(Hybrid Sim slot).
  • Phone runs on MIUI 9.
  • Redmi 5A has a 13MP rear camera (f/2.2) and a 5MP front camera (f/2.0).
  • Phone is lighten up by 3,000mAh battery.
  • It does not have fingerprint sensor.

Still, you can’t argue with that price. If you’re interested, pre-orders in China start later today. Various online stores will carry the phone including the Xiaomi Mall, JD.com, Lynx and others. Redmi 5A comes in Gold, Rose Gold and Grey color options.
