India is the second biggest Smartphone market next to China. Every manufacturer needs big presence in these markets for the growth. Google also have plans for the Pixel Smartphones in India, Google has revealed that it will be focusing on offline presence of the new Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL Smartphone’s for the Indian market.
Rick Osterloh mentioned in an interview with Gadgets360 (viaAndroid Authority) that the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL are a product built on top of what was learned from the Pixel models last year. When it comes to India, he feels a big way to expand the presence of those devices is through increased marketing.
Osterloh says he wants to increase the offline sales of the phone in retail channels.
Google announced Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL smartphones at Google I/O event on Wednesday. Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL prices for Indian market have already been announced, and they will go up for pre-orders starting from October 26. The Pixel 2 price in India starts at Rs. 61,000 for 64GB version and Rs. 70,000 for the 128GB version. The Pixel 2 XL price, on the starts at Rs. 73,000 for the 64GB model and Rs. 82,000 for the 128GB model respectively.
