Nokia, HMD is quite better than other manufactures for providing the updates to their smartphones, and they have promised to provide updates to their smartphones up to two years. Now Nokia has started to rollout January Security update 2018 to Nokia 8 in some markets. The update brings fixes for Spectre and Meltdown vulnerabilities. Currently the update is available only for users across the European markets and the update weighs around 97.3 MB in size. The update is expected to rollout across the globe soon.
To check for the update manually head to settings-> About -> Software aupdate
