HMD confirms Android Oreo 8.1 for Nokia 2

Nokia 2 was announced couple of months back running Android Nougat 7.1.1. Recently Oreo confirmed for all Nokia devices including entry level Nokia 2. HMD’s Chief Product Officer Juho Sarvikas confirmed that Nokia 2 will be updated to Android Oreo 8.1. Nokia 2 is the first entry level handset to have Android Oreo 8.1.

Hi! It will receive Android Oreo. 1GB RAM devices will be supported on 8.1 release where many of the Android Go memory management improvements will be integrated. Nokia 2 performance will only get better over time!

The exec also updated that Android 8.1 update will bring many Android Go memory management’s which will improve Nokia 2 Performance. Here the time-frame for the update is not known, hope the update hit device in couple of months.
